I was commissioned to created a 90s airbrush backdrop for Uncle Delroy's "Unk's Freaknik", a famous Toronto party. Considering my love of Black culture, this was an honour and a challenge I was ready to face head on. I combined the classic airbrush look with the Toronto skyline, on a 7 by 7 foot piece of fabric, to create a dreamy backdrop that would enhance the environment of this party. Completed over 2 back-to-back days with airbrush, spray paint, and lots of tape, this became one of my proudest moments and a great learning experience. Projects like this remind me of the intention that goes behind creating moments that inspire people to live in Toronto. Being an artist is such a vital part of creating memories for others!
